"Hear Him," my latest piece in the “Come Follow Me” series, draws inspiration from Matthew 19:14. This artwork represents the essence of the call to "hear Him," and speaks to the sacred instances when God the Father has directed us to listen to His Son, Jesus Christ.

In this painting, we see Jesus teaching a group of children in a luminous wheat field, symbolizing His open invitation expressed in Matthew 19:14. The children's attention contrasts with distant figures, seemingly unaware of the Savior's presence, illustrating the choice we face to either listen to His teachings or remain distant.

What I love most about this piece is the way it visually echoes the question, "How do you hear Him?" The radiant light bathing the scene symbolizes the clarity and truth we receive when we focus on Christ's words. "Hear Him" calls us to consider our personal relationship with the Savior, and to seek ways to better listen and adhere to His guidance.
