Story Behind the Art

"We Are His" was inspired by the joyful truth found in Psalm 100: We are His. Not because we earned it. Not because we proved ourselves. But because He made us, loves us, and calls us His own. In this piece, I wanted to show the personal relationship we each have with the Savior, where He knows our name, welcomes our return, and never stops caring for us.

What I love most about this piece is the way Jesus smiles. You can feel the warmth and peace in the way He cares for the sheep. The light around Him represents His presence, full of divine joy. This is the Good Shepherd, kneeling among wildflowers, close enough to touch. That’s the Savior I know. That’s the Savior I love.

Sheep wander, they get lost, and they need a shepherd. And still, they are loved. I’ve had seasons in life when I felt unsure of my direction, but always, I could feel the Savior drawing me back with kindness.
